After nearly three decades as one of Africa's most gifted singers and most insightful commentators, National Geographics made this wonderful film about Baaba Maal. It shows the man behind the music, and his great generosity of spirit. As a friend and collaborating performer, Tony Vacca will host a discussion and conversation about Baaba, the film, Senegal, and how this daring Senegalese performer became both a griot at home,and a pop-star to the World.
